Review on πŸ”§ Dorman 598-204 EGR Line: High-Quality Replacement for Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC Models by Jonathan Ulsth

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good product but the installation is not as easy as it seems at first glance

The part seems to me almost identical to the original. I think some reviews make installation seem easier than it actually is, but this is not a negative comment on a Dorman product. Another rust band specialist said the same - the two bolts on the exhaust manifold are not easy to remove. Also agree that the pipes, while very similar to the originals, don't flex as easily to line up with the intake and exhaust manifolds. The bottom bolt on the exhaust end is frustrating. Have the installer thread the EGR valve bolts through the bracket before final installation of the EGR valve. This will clean the paint/powder coating to make turning the screws easier.
