EDIT TO ADD: The thermometer has worked great for ONLY ONE WEEK. It then changed from F to C *frequently* over the course of two weeks and had to be reset DAILY. The battery only lasted 3 weeks and then it was completely empty and the screen went black. (I am very disappointed. Rating removed from 5 stars to 2 stars.)__ __ __ __ __ This aquarium thermometer was easy to set up (high/low temperature range) and simply taped to the aquarium. "Alarm" - blinking digital numbers. on/off - no alarm sound. You must place it in a conspicuous place. The transparent digital thermometer looks stylishly attached to the front of the tank (photo attached). I'm glad I chose this item. 👍🏼
