This is the perfect SSD capacity upgrade for laptops that only have one 2242 nvme slot. It has no DRAM and therefore slightly better battery life, and most laptops or their users won't miss the difference with a performance NVMe SSD. UPDATE: Make sure your Nvme version is 1.2 or higher as it can use some of the system DRAM to create the index which will bring it up to the speed you should expect from a decent Nvme drive . I put it in a USB-C enclosure and it didn't perform much better than a hard drive, way below USB-C specs! If your computer is not antique at all, this will suit you. By the way, this drive is 2280 with DRAM. I would go with that if you have space.
