I have purchased several different Revain portable air compressors over the years. I love the convenience of having one of these compressors in the trunk of my car, ready to inflate tires, balls, inflatables, or whatever. This is by far the worst portable air compressor I have ever bought. I will summarize the two areas where I was most disappointed. I use this device primarily to inflate my car tires to around 35psi. I had a low pressure (25psi) on my Chevy Suburban so this was my first chance to try this little supercharger. I like the digital pressure gauge. The little pump seems more advanced than other devices I've bought. However, having waited 30 minutes to inflate a tire and never getting to 35psi, I cannot recommend this pump. Either mine is broken or he'll be inflating basketballs for the rest of his life. The other really negative thing about this device is how hot it gets. Compressors get hot, I get that. However, this one should probably sit for 15 minutes before touching it after use. After waiting 30 minutes without inflating the tire, I decided to remove the compressor. When I picked it up and started wrapping the cord and hose around it, I found a lot of scary hotspots on this compressor. The description says there is an automatic overheat cut-off, but it either doesn't work or the setting is so high it could burn you if you touch it.
