Review on 32 Amp Single-Pole DC Circuit Breaker For Off-Grid Solar System, PV Combiner Box, Suntree Breaker Box by James Mcphearson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This thing is big and solid. Great connections.

Seems very well made and certainly beastly enough. Lug connections are plenty big for 2/0 lugs. I always wonder about devices that say rated for 200 amps (or such) and then have small bolt downs for lugs - this is not one of those. Hard to test of course - I don't want to make a 160 amp short for a long enough duration to trip it, so I have to leave faith to the fact that it works or not. The test button works, and manually throwing the breaker is no joke, an effort with a big clunk.

Pros
  • So far; so good that is holding to 1.1 kilowatt at 150 volt without tripping breaker.
Cons
  • Price point
