This 8.46" Farberware Professional Ice Cream Spoon in Stainless Steel, Gray is pretty decent in my opinion. It's made in China. I think it's better for soft serve, like air infused ice cream we mostly buy airless hard ice cream (like keto friendly ice cream) and while this scoop doesn't bend or flex when scooping it doesn't make scooping hard ice easy I did notice a slight wobble where the bucket is hits the handle. I have a feeling the scoop is about to break. I first tried this scoop without allowing the ice cream to thaw and soften a bit and while the large, comfortable handle of the Farberware Professional Stainless Steel Soft Serve Scoop allowed me to Scooping hard ice cream without hurting hands wasn't that impressive I had to use another spoon to scoop the ice cream out of this one Getting scoop and not forming good ice cream scoops as shown on the product page. This scoop works a little better when the ice thaws a bit first, and as I mentioned, it works even better with soft or aerated ice. Less expensive ice cream and aerated ice cream have a softer texture and I can slide a spoon over the surface and the ice cream rolls into balls as shown in the picture. However, this only seems to work for the first scoop. 🤔 Be careful too! When washing this shovel - whether by hand or in the dishwasher! - The handle is filled with water. Annoying, dirty and a bit gross! Who needs water in ice!? The Farberware Professional Stainless Steel Soft Ice Cream Scoop is priced at $9.57 at the time of this review. For a few bucks more, I prefer a spring-loaded ice cream scoop that releases the ice cream easily. Knowing how this scoop works and since I'm buying hard ice with no air added, I wouldn't buy this scoop again.
