Review on 🔧 3M High Strength Large Hole Repair Kit: 12 fl. oz Compound, Self-Adhesive Back Plate, Putty Knife, Sanding Pad by Michael Lightfoot

I bought this to patch holes caused by a crappy ADT installation of their security system. I had 4 fairly large repair holes. I used to use wood on the inside to support new drywall. I bought it to see if it would be easier. Since my holes weren't as big as this kit, I cut the plastic backing to fit the holes (enough to fix the 4 holes I had to fix). The double sided tape on them is not very good. I found, like others, that it didn't hold up. After carefully cleaning the inside of the hole I used double sided tape which is very strong. It held the plastic backing in place so I could then fill the holes with the special compound included in the box. It is great! Sealed the hole securely and dried very quickly. The resulting repair looks good, varnished without traces of repair. Good product but could use some improvement.
