Review on πŸƒ Vivobarefoot Women's Ultra L-w: Lightweight Barefoot Athletic Shoes for Active Women by Damon Mertz

Revainrating 3 out of 5

To tell you the truth they

I love minimalist shoes and vivo makes some of the best, they look very stylish and weigh next to nothing and overall I like them. Why 3 stars? Well, putting them on and taking them off is an absolute pain in the ass. I have a fairly standard gait with wider feet and usually wear a US 8 so I went for the 8.5 and once the shoes are on they are great. But the insertion hole is SMALL and has absolutely no burden. It's like trying to put on an anklet by slipping it down your leg. Don't get me wrong, if it's on your leg it's fine, but it's still a bit tight around the ankle. I've never been able to wear shoes with inserts already in the shoe, which got me really frustrated because I love how my other Vivos come off so easily, but there's a way to go with them: pressing your foot to adjust. and then press your foot into the rubber part of the shell and then line up and lock the inserts on the shank and heel (I get blisters on my heel after a few hours). Then tighten the laces, fix. Place and tuck in, THEN REPEAT on other leg. I will say so much when they are on you they give you a great barefoot feel but are still protected but they rub my feet in a weird way and since I ordered 8.5 I can't get them comfortable without insoles wear them, because by that I mean they're too big, but if you wear crocodiles, you might like them because I imagine crocodiles are like that. I have this shoe LONG, they are good quality and the Vivo sneakers are really durable but I would recommend skipping this style if you intend to wear them for a longer period of time or for training (why I bought them), because she won't cut it. Overall I'm giving them 3 stars because they're still mine, still wear them occasionally and trying to find a way to stretch the inserts without ruining them to turn them into better shoes. I can't say I regret the purchase, but I won't recommend it.
