I was looking for a pair of sneakers that are eco-friendly and cheap. Vivobarefoot claims to be a "green" company, but that's more of a label they self-impose without any real proof. Since other eco-friendly shoes are much more expensive, I gave them up. I found the Vivobarefoot Achilles sandal but am not interested in going barefoot so went for these for about $10 more.
