I really want to give these boots five stars because they are cute (so cute), warm, well fitting, reasonable and well made but there is one big flaw . They are waterproof and non-waterproof. Living in the upper Midwest, we might have warm days when the snow melts and turns to wet mud, but we live in frigid temperatures just as quickly. No insulation protects a wet foot from frostbite in extremely cold temperatures. I wouldn't pay attention to that if the boots dry quickly and well, especially between the children's breaks at school, but they don't dry well overnight either. Sorry but I'm still willing to pay double for this branded boot that is totally waterproof because frostbite can be very dangerous. If this product were to become fully waterproof I would have no hesitation in staying with this boot brand.
