Review on KitchenAid Classic Etched Medium Grater - 2 Inch, Black, Ideal Size for Kitchen by Rhonda Babson

I really liked this grater but it broke in less than 6 months. We use it daily but only for sprinkling cheese so nothing special. We put it in the dishwasher but it says it can be washed in the dishwasher. The photo shows where the plastic cracked. Unfortunately, this has completely destroyed the structural integrity of this entire device, leaving us unable to use it. On the other hand, I noticed that you can disassemble it into 3 parts for easier cleaning. If you do this, dirt will build up between the plastic and the blade (I discovered to my dismay). As for the guarantee. Your customer support is very bad. It was neither quick nor easy. I ended up spending an hour contacting them via live chat and phone. Live chat never found a representative for me but eventually the phone was answered fairly quickly. However, they transferred me to another company who then dropped the call. I didn't think it was worth more than an hour of my time to get a replacement that would likely have the same lifespan. So I stopped there and am now ordering a 100% metal replacement.
