Review on Box of 100 πŸ“¦ Plaster Washers - 1 Inch Size by Adolfo Goins

A simple, inexpensive solution to an otherwise complex and expensive repair.

You did a great job. Very fast delivery. The ceiling in our Florida home has a thin layer of stucco/stucco applied over the original Tectum panels. A 12" x 30" patch of stucco had detached from the top of the tectum due to water leaks. It was torn in several places and bent about 1/8 inch. The painter didn't think it would be a problem but I didn't want to pay to have the ceiling painted and then part of it fell off. Using seven of these washers and drywall screws I was able to attach the ceiling flush. with tectum. I pre-drilled small holes and injected a little LocTite 0 into each to secure the drywall screws since the tectum is old and loose. I only partially tightened each screw until they were all the way in, and then gradually hand-tightened them (tightening a screw all the way down would have put too much stress on the thin layer of plaster that the washer couldn't puncture or split the plasterboard). The indentations give the finishing seam some support. There is a small ledge where each screw/washer goes, but the paint on the ceiling has been sanded off and the repair is in a corner so it's not too visible.
