Review on ASUS VA325H: 31.5 Inch LED Monitor with Blue Light Filter and IPS by Steve Spencer

I've been an Asus fan for over 20 years, but this product didn't live up to the standards I'm used to from Asus. I bought this product on February 20th, 2020 and received it a few days later. I set it up and everything was fine. I used it straight away without making any changes to the controls, so I don't know if they were buggy from the start or broke later, but they don't work now. On April 22, 2020 (only two months later), monitor controls are showing without prompting and cannot be closed. Shortly after this irritation started, parts of the display went black for a few seconds. About a day after that, the entire monitor would occasionally go completely black for a few seconds and then turn back on. All drivers are up to date, I have also tried different cables. I even tried it on another computer but got the same result every time. As an intraday trader (and I suppose I wouldn't be) this is totally unacceptable on a monitor that's only two months old. Included are two photos of what I see on my screen. The top photo shows only the monitor control indicator while the bottom photo shows the monitor control indicator as well as the black box that appears when it wants. Coincidentally, both photos show the same display of the Input Select controls. This display changes from the main menu to what it is about to do. The black box also changes in size and position, and of course there's no point in showing you a photo when the screen goes completely black. I think my days of buying Asus monitors are over. Unfortunately I have to give this purchase one star but it deserves zero stars.
