I spent 1.5 hours manually lapping two homemade aluminum lapping plates with 40 micron (largest) grit and only achieved <40% flatness coverage. I think it will go faster as my 500 grit (about 35 micron) Garnet sandpaper cuts through the aluminum base much faster when sanding blocks. The only conclusion I can draw is that there is little or no diamond abrasive in this product as it is either very diluted or contains less material. This product works to an extent so I am not giving it a star, it is very slow to work with.
