3-pin waterproof connectors do not give any guidance. If you've worked with an electrician, you'll understand. I had to do a little trial and error. The pens don't seem to hold up very well, but well enough. As long as you use masking tape on the finished product you should be fine. Good price. I just wish they included some instructions or at least some pointers. rzunimag.
