Review on Red Lion RL SC50T 14942746 Tethered by David Vargas

This was a replacement for a 20 year old sump pump (which still worked fine btw - the only reason I replaced it was because of the high amps). Although I had a chance to see it in action for a very short time (two days during/after a very heavy rain), it seems like a brutal pump. The name "Red Lion" is very appropriate. Replacing the old pump was not difficult as it had the same installation requirements as the old one. The pump is VERY quiet when in operation (if you stand about 10 feet away you can't hear it). I use it in a 10 foot lift and it drains the water from the sump (about 24 inches deep and 15 inches in diameter) in about 5 seconds. I replaced my old pump because I installed a backup inverter/battery and should have gotten a pump with a lot less hassle. This is rated at 5.2 amps. Oddly enough, when I tried to measure the actual power consumption with the clamps, the readings kept giving an error (not a real number). Anyhow, mathematically speaking, I felt like everything was fine and there were no issues with my actual inverter/backup power test. Now I have to wait another 20 years to see if it can keep up with the old pump. :)
