I have just received these gloves, so I have not yet tested their insulating properties. I have a few different pairs of JR gloves, all leather, with cafe racer short cuffs like these. I bought this glove primarily for fall/spring when lighter rockets start to thin out. I don't have a big run on my hands so I'm sure they'll be around 55-70. As for the fit, I want it to be as close to the skin as possible. I buy small leather gloves because they stretch when they break in and I don't like slapping my gloves. As some have noticed, the index fingers have lengthened a bit. Although it's just a hint, the additional element you fill in is a touchpad sewn onto the end of the glove. I think you'll get used to it if you don't buy oversized gloves at first. The glove also has an internal insulating lining that prevents fingers from fully protruding from the end of the glove. But it comes with all insulated gloves. In short, the leather, stitching and craftsmanship are top notch. If they keep my hands warm at 60 degrees, I'm happy. PS: I wrote this entire review with these gloves on, so a 5+ for the touchscreen anyway!
