After 9 years of use my original Epson Home Cinema 8350 lamp ran out of power. The bottom left of the screen prompted me to replace the lightbulb. At that point I bought a replacement ELP LP49 projector lamp with an Epson projector body. I decided not to use it until my own bulb was completely dead, which was about 3 months later. The replacement was easy, just 2 screws. Unfortunately, a week later, after watching TV for less than 10 hours, I heard a loud "pop" and there was no picture. I can only describe it as a waste of money.
