After many months of use I am withdrawing my 3 star rating that allowed these devices and downgrading them to 1 star. I've had several of these devices and agree with the reviewers who are frustrated with the crashing and constant resets. I returned and replaced them, so it's definitely something to do with blocks and/or firmware. I was using the latest February 2014 firmware and the one before. Both devices kept failing throughout the day, completely by accident. Some say it's due to overheating, which can be a possibility as they get very hot. One device was used as a router and the other as an access point. The access point failed more often than the router, although both failed at least once a day. I went as far as putting them with reset timers that would turn them on every night, but they still failed. I replaced each with a TP-LINK TL-WDR3500 Wireless N600 Dual Band 2.4GHz 300Mbps + 5GHz 300Mbps USB Router. , IP QoS, wireless on/off switch with the same configuration, no problems, dropouts or resets and no need to reset timers. They have the same functionality and are cheaper too. The NT-53's range is a little longer, but not by much. I contacted ASUS support and they had no idea. They said that if everything works well, there should be no failures.
