Review on 🐠 DaToo Aquarium External Heater: Optimal Performance with 300W Power for Canister Filter by Jennifer Collins

Compatible with sunscreen filter hoses - no fittings to change although it is available in three sizes. No leaks and no need for metal clamps. I was concerned with all the feedback about incompatibility or leaking external heaters. I ended up trying this one and so far so good. Super easy to install and no problems. I've been waiting for a leak so I haven't plugged it in yet to test the heat. I know that's the whole point of a built-in heater, but my first concerns were compatibility and leaks. I'm installing a new system so I can afford to play around with it since there aren't any fish in the tank yet. My rating is based on compatibility and leakage only - I will update the heat rating in the future. Update: The heat fluctuates 3-4 degrees a day from 75 to 79 during the day. I set the temp to 76 Fahrenheit. All of my hardy fish and plants are healthy, but I do not recommend this heater for sensitive water species.
