They are clearly cheap material and not waterproof but my kid doesn't like being outside for long hours and we don't spend much time outside at all in the winter. I want her to have something simple, especially since we are potty training her. She also walks to school and I'm sure there will be more than enough for MN's very cold days. They are perfect to carry in the car and do not affect the safety of the car seat. I bought a Kiwi waterproofing spray and am about to put on some coats and I have a feeling they will be just what I need.
