That does not work. I'm back to my regular container

Good idea but not practical. The top opening is a bit narrow, so it's a bit difficult to get the sugar out without making a mess. Also, sticking a spoon in sugar is difficult. You must leave the container partially empty to be able to close it. I went back to my usual sugar bowl.
