Review on 🚤 Intuitive Raymarine P70S AP Control Head: Elevate Your Boating Experience with Pushbutton Ease by Jesus Jenkins

My old ST-4000+ autopilot system worked fine for 18 years before the actuator literally fell apart, I bought a new actuator and the replacement went smoothly. Unfortunately, the control unit then failed. The replacement P70S was not compatible with the old compass and I also had to buy an EV-100 module. Buying parts costs more. I would be much better off buying the package knowing it is what I need. Otherwise the P70S works great and installation was easy with the holes provided. The display is colorful and bright. My only complaint is that since the unit is mounted on the side of the cabin, the polarized display disappears when I lean forward to look at it. Awkward body language is required to see it well. It would be better if the block was mounted in front of the wheel. Overall, Raymarine's new system is expensive but flexible and expandable as it allows for multiple control points and entry sensors. A lot of noise for a lot of money!
