So in theory this is an easy to install product. The problem is when opening swing doors causes your floor to warp, which seems to be the case for me. Here's how I suggest (in hindsight) to attach it: Use masking tape to stick the strip to the door. Leave a tiny gap (as small as possible) between the plank and the floor where you think it should be. Open the door fully and make sure it's as smooth as you want throughout the turn. Once you find the perfect level, park the top pin. Now very gently apply a stripe, peeling off 4-6 inches at a time and applying to the pencil line. If you need to remove it, DO NOT pull on it. This will rip off the paint and ruin your door. Apparently (have yet to try) you can loosen the glue by heating it with a hair dryer until it peels off. This glue is CRAZY strong. It smells like superglue and the paint is peeling off the door. 😑
