Review on DELTA FAUCET Everest 33-inch Workstation Kitchen Sink in Metallic Black - Undermount Single Bowl with WorkFlow Ledge and Accessories (75B933-33S-BL) by Mark Patterson

Not bad, but better now

As previously mentioned the upper visible parts are plated brass and are of very good quality. The lower case and nut under the sink are made of plastic, but this is a durable quality that should hold up well. Unfortunately, the lower plastic stem fixing nut (sold separately) should be checked 6-8 months after installation. Plastic expands/contracts more than metal and this nut may loosen over time with exposure to hot water. Check for leaks a few months after installation, tighten if necessary, and you're good to go. Updated 9/12/18 As previously mentioned, there is a design/material defect in the top screen. It includes a spring-loaded ball bearing on the bottom post that should either hold the basket up so water can drain or allow you to push the basket down and block the drain. The ball bearing will rust and come loose, leaving the basket only in the closed position. Every time this happened I called Delta and they sent a new pad. My unit was originally installed in 2016 and I'm on my 5th or 6th replacement basket and currently need a new one for the same reason. To fix this all Delta needs to do is use an ironless ball bearing and why this hasn't been done remains a mystery as I wrote to them about it almost 2 years ago. The cost of the best ball bearing can not be that high from an economic point of view. Update 12/31/18 I received another warranty replacement for this basket about 3 weeks ago and Delta seems to have fixed the rusty ball bearing issue. Traces of rust were visible within a week on the previous blocks, but not on the new one. Delta may have replaced an old stainless steel bearing.
