The chip cannot be exchanged!
I'm not sure if HP noticed that chips are swapped out, but our original HP cartridges have the chip glued/melted so it can't be removed. Unfortunately I destroyed the old cartridge to get the chip so now we have a non-working printer until I buy a real cartridge. Very disappointed. Also, we did NOT receive any tools in the kit, so we had to use sheeters, tweezers, Xacto knives, etc.
