Small door wedges (traditional) require a serious pull on a heavy steel door to 'set' the stop and keep it from sliding - and this doesn't always work. We have a steel door to the elevator lobby of the apartment and occasionally need to open it for convenient loading of bulky items. It works way better than small or medium wedges and due to its size and stylish design it's pretty hard to forget and throw away! I don't know how long the rubber will stay pliable so I didn't mention "durability" - but it looks durable. Very low outgassing of the rubber compound when first removed from the packaging. but we still love the smell of new tires in the morning!
