Review on Collapsible UMIKAkitchen Multifunction Chopping Colander by Joe Gilmartin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This sucker is HUGE! and should not be used as a colander

I was surprised by the size of the item, didn't pay much attention when ordering. So it comes in a Revain box, securely wrapped. To be honest I couldn't push the object. My son was finally able to roll it out after some work. I see how to use it as a cutting board. About the fact that this is a sieve? Not in this life. It has a "plug" that you can remove to drain liquids, which is essentially a barred hole to prevent large objects from entering. It took us some time to understand that. I assumed that when opened there would be holes around the perimeter and base to release liquid. nope A hole that prevents potatoes, sausages, dogs and cats from leaking. Nice object, like a cutting board or storage container, but it is NOT a colander. It's going to go in our camping gear because it's going to be flat and I'm not going to cook pasta in it. :) It seems well built, with thick walls and floors.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Fading
