Review on DOYOLLA Silicone Soap Loaf Molds with Wooden Box and Covers for Homemade Soap Production - Set of 2, Total 84oz Capacity, Random Color by Amber Perez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect size and function for a small bread

I wouldn't want this mold to be used as a primary business mold but it is perfect for making small batches of 2.5lbs and with a little care and proper handling it will last for years. I only make soap cold so I can only confirm the satisfactory function for this, but see no reason why it shouldn't work for everything. Outside. It won't hold a game without the box, but since the box comes with it, that's not a problem. Fits perfectly in the box making it easy to take out of the box. The thickness of the silicone isn't great, but again, the box offers a solid grip. Although the silicone mold is empty and may bend towards the center when empty, this is only a slight bend. As I filled it, I found that light pressure with my finger was enough to push the mold back to its sides, and then the weight of the soap held it in place. Side gluing is another option, but I didn't think it was necessary. - Box and lid. It's not a durable wood and won't stand up to abuse, but I won't put it to the test. Everything fits well, lays flat on the table and together with the silicone liner forms a perfect seal with the lid so you don't lose any volatile compounds when saponifying. Seriously, not even the scent of the perfume penetrates this seal in any way. So far I've bought 3 of these, one of which is a couple of years old and in perfect condition apart from a couple of marks on the drip box. or so. I don't need more at the moment, but I would have no choice but to buy more of these if needed.

Pros
  • Dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave; flexibility and reusability;
Cons
  • No Productivity

Need to make adjustments to the mold in order to avoid deformed soaps.
