I bought this product because I wanted the dog collar to get more and more intense when my dog started barking. I used to buy one that would beep and vibrate at the first bark. Too intense. This will emit a short beep on the first bark, then a longer beep on the second bark, and a beep and vibration on the third bark. That's exactly what I wanted. It had enough battery power that we could put it on our dog on day one. Huge difference! She CAN bark once, but will quickly stop if the collar comes off. Notes (for manufacturers or potential buyers) - It beeps when turned on or off. I have to do this in a different room as my dog gets embarrassed when he squeaks but doesn't bark. In addition, sensitivity levels are difficult to see. There's no way of knowing what sensitivity level it's at. We resorted to going all the way to '0' (press the button until the beep stopped) and then going to the desired sensitivity level. Maybe the light blinks a certain number of times per level? I would minimize the beeps because I don't want to embarrass the dog. In general, however, it doesn't really matter, especially when we find a sensitivity level that works well. We'll probably just leave it as it is.
