The thing really works.

I have a stack of Shia Modi and Magni. You're connected to a system with an Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU, and when a game is running at over 60 fps, the graphics card sends so much electrical noise through my system that I can easily hear it through connected headphones or speakers. on large amounts. This happens even with absolutely nothing but a USB DAC connected to the PC - no external ground loops. This is a buzzing, grinding sound that is extremely unpleasant and changes pitch depending on the display. Suffice it to say I didn't hear it at all until I cranked my headphones/speakers to an inappropriate listening volume. Connecting a small external USB power supply to the iDefender+ itself (even a 5V 1A switch like most phones do) further reduces the noise at high volume to the point where it's in a quiet line at 100% of the maximum volume is barely audible. I can only assume that some graphics cards cause an internal ground loop. Anyway, this little key does an amazing job of noise reduction.

  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic
