I bought these for their intended purpose - to balance picture frames. You remove the double-sided tape attached to the plastic and stick it to the frame, the other side being a nail. that goes into the wall. The problem is that the nail is attached to a fairly thick piece of clear plastic, leaving your paintings sticking out of the wall 1/4 inch or more (depending on the model you buy). This is fine for larger paintings, but it doesn't always look great for smaller paintings (16x20 or smaller). Blind nail set, 100 nails
