At first I thought the extendable handle was just a gimmick, but as I used this fly swatter more and more I realized that an adjustable handle could be very handy. You can adjust how far away your prey is on the fly. This fly swatter suffers from the same problems as all fly swatters in that the fly often moves when you knock it off. Flies are good at it, of course, and you'll need to adjust your tactics. If I see a fly slowing down and stopping somewhere, I take the swatter and adjust the length to the distance. Then I move the clasp very slowly over the fly and lower it very slowly until I'm only an inch above the fly. Assuming the fly didn't move, I smash it and 90% of the time I get it! One thing to keep in mind when working with this particular fly swatter is that it's VERY flexible, so sometimes all you have to do is stun a fly and land a few quick hits to finish it off. Also, a fly swatter sometimes leaves enough room underneath for a fly to survive. So if you're not sure if you're going to smash them, run them around a few times to make sure. In general a good product. If I ever need a fly swatter again it will be at the top of my list.
