Much better than hammer type.
My husband can hold his meat tenderizer, it's much better. It is compact and easy to use. Because it's round, it can also be used to crush crackers in a round bowl. Because it's so compact, it easily fits in the small space on my counter instead of digging in a drawer when I want to use it. It does a great job of tenderizing the chicken. The weight of the item works for you.
