I am currently using the device as an additional remote controlled thermostat for an oil heater. The problem with these heaters is that the internal thermostat is so close to the heat source that it is very difficult to set a constant temperature. With the Digiten-Block the sensor can be placed up to two meters away from the heater. It is possible to set the heater thermostat to a slightly higher value than desired and then program the Digiten to turn off the unit at exactly the desired temperature, but based on a different reading than the heater, using a 60 inch touch sensor. Before using this thermostat I was constantly calibrating the dial thermostat on an oil filled heater.
