The units I received are slightly different from the photo but they work very well. In the photo they appear to be metal but they are not. Definitely plastic. They're also pretty light, so they're not likely to fall out of the nest when your car bounces on the road. I've had them in my car for a few months now and both bulbs are still 100% charged. The bulbs look a little cheap in real life, but are not visible after installation. The effect they produce is at least as bright as the original halogens, with the benefit of almost instant turn-on that only LEDs can offer. One thing should be noted. CK sockets. If you don't know what they are, please check them. Unfortunately, my Ford C-Max has so-called CK sockets. They are the same size as the standard 7443 sockets BUT they are wired differently. With halogen lamps it doesn't matter, but with the LED conversion it does. This is because halogen lights can draw current in both directions and still turn on. LEDs can't do that. In my case I had to modify the socket and bulb to work with my car. Overall these bulbs are great BUT make sure your car has "standard" and not "CK" bulb sockets. A quick web search will give you everything you need to know about what type of outlet you have.
