Review on 🔧 Upgraded Carburetor with Extended 46" Throttle Cable for Improved Performance - Compatible with Honda TRX250 TRX250TE TRX250TM Recon by Ray Cole

Although this carburetor was advertised as a replacement for my 2014 Honda TRX250TE Recon, it did not fit as a direct replacement. At first glance they seemed to be the same carburetor, but upon closer inspection it turned out that this was not the case. What I was going for with a simple carb impact wasn't at all. First, the mounting flange was much smaller than the stock part, so the carburetor mounting flange didn't even cover the full diameter of the intake manifold. The screw-in gas cable from the original installation also did not fit into the replacement carburettor (completely different diameter). This would have required rerouting a new throttle cable (which came with the replacement carburetor kit) to the thumb operated throttle. Much more work than necessary. The problem with the mounting flange was the deciding factor. Too bad I bought it and only started working on it when the return policy ended. Well, that was $25 thrown away.
