So the throttle cable is too long for the distance from the carburetor to the throttle. Not enough adjustment to make up for the extra play. However, you cannot use the original cable as it will fit a new carburetor of a different size.

it doesn't fit the supplied throttle cable is too long and doesn't work without heavy and sketchy modifications and you can't use the original throttle cable. Also, all the hoses are in the wrong place and the fuel line opening is too small.

I agree with everyone who said "DO NOT ORDER THIS!". Garbage, plain and simple, garbage! Not only was the throttle cable too long at 22 feet, the gasket between the top of the carburetor and the float bowl was leaking, and the float bowl was missing a baffle. Don't waste your money on this carburetor.

Carburettor works great. This is not a direct replacement for the Honda TRX250. You must replace the old throttle cable to use the carburetor. The included cable is about 3 inches long and will not work. Overall it's worth the money, just understand that you will need to modify the throttle body.

Product details/description is misleading. The included new throttle housing is approximately 2 inches shorter and will not work with this ATV without modification. An extension for the cable sleeve was possible, but the quality of the new cable is not inferior to the original. After installing the carburetor the quad runs fine. It will be interesting to see how long this lasts.

Cable is long! removed the end of the carburetor from the old cable. works well. The inlet side of the carburetor is larger in diameter than the OEM, so the hose on the filter box will not fit. haven't figured it out yet. The fuel connector is smaller than OEM, you need a 1/4 hose and a 5/16 to 1/4 adapter. Basically, you need to make that carb fit. it should ask? mrr4573@att.net

This product does not fit Honda Recon TRX250. Hence the reason they give you a new shift cable is because the OEM needle valve doesn't fit the new carburetor. The shifter cable is also too long and doesn't work with the included carburetor either. I actually damaged the throttle when I installed a new cable. Although this carburetor was advertised as a replacement for my 2014 Honda TRX250TE Recon, it did not fit as a direct replacement. At first glance they seemed to be the same carburetor, but upon closer inspection it turned out that this was not the case. What I was going for with a simple carb impact wasn't at all.
