Otherwise, thin objects will slide under the partitions. ------------ DISCUSSION I was skeptical about requesting this promoter. These things aren't cheap anymore. Since this one costs about $10 and is reasonably priced, I expected problems. Despite the cheap price, I was surprised at how well it works. Once the spacers were installed correctly (there's a right way and a wrong way to put them in), the thin washers didn't slip under the spacers. Even when I turned the box upside down, the thin washers stayed in their compartments. The trick is that you MUST insert the dividers with the rounded edges facing down. This will prevent items from slipping through the dividers. The only downside is that the top uses all plastic hinges and the top is part of the locking system (see pictures). The lock tongues are simply internally threaded plastic tabs that snap onto the front tabs of the lock. However, they snap in well and I doubt they'll ever wear out with normal hobbyist use. CONCLUSION This is not a high-performance box for industrial use. This is a lightweight hobby box that is cheap but does its job well. All plastic construction, including hinges, suited me. You must insert the dividers with the rounded edge down, otherwise thin or small items will slide under the dividers. This is a good hobby organizer, especially for the price.
