I would like to give this 5 stars, but I can't if the device cannot be used if no replacement filters are available. I have searched for months and they are sold out everywhere this unit is sold so I advise buying with caution as our 1 filter comes with the original air purifier. I really liked it until my filter needed replacing, I immediately bought an extra because previous reviewers said they couldn't find replacement filters either. Since purchasing this genuine replacement filter I have not found anything available online including buying directly from the manufacturer's website. Therefore, the customer is left with a useless air purifier as it can only really be used once (use until the original filter needs to be replaced). For me, even on the highest level (#3) it was quiet enough to sleep, it seemed to do a good job of removing any dust or pollutants from the air, including reducing cigarette smoke levels. . Doesn't completely freshen the air when you smoke but helps a lot if you smoke indoors from time to time. The device claims to cover 500 square meters. foot, but I'd honestly say it actually works better than maybe 400 square feet. m max. I played it in my large 24 x 18 foot bedroom with master bathroom attached. I need to get it right into my bathroom to get the full effect. I leave it on almost 24/7 and I'm still so used to the slight background noise (it runs on the highest settings with the Ion on at the same time) that I sometimes even forget it's there. If you smoke, I recommend changing the filter at least once a month. That's approximately 672 hours of filtration life compared to the 5,000 hours the company claims for a non-smoking filtration life. You can definitely see the tobacco yellow color on the filter over these months of use. I leave 1-3 of my windows half open to allow for allergens picked up from the street combined with smoke filtration making the filter life much shorter than the 5000 hour range. I wanted to make sure I was taking good care of the device. Because of this, I planned on replacing the filter almost monthly based on my usage rather than waiting for the full 5000 recommended hours. I doubt the machine would still work if I had used it as a smoker for the full 5000 hours.
