If you like coffee like me, then why bother rushing into something we enjoy so much. I'd had enough of automatic filter coffee, used different brands over the years and although it was ready when I woke up in the morning I didn't enjoy the first sip. Dissatisfied with my lukewarm cup of coffee, I decided to go back to the old days when it took time to brew coffee. To my surprise, the Presto 12 Cup did just that. I loved hearing about this coffee maker and to my delight it was the hot cup of coffee I craved and brewed to perfection. I've had it for a week now and have used an instant read thermometer to check the temperature of the coffee as it's poured. 203 degrees. I have found that the 1-4 cup coffee filter fits perfectly in the basket needed to absorb the 2 types of diterpenes in coffee. Substances are trapped by filters that can cause high cholesterol. Great coffee maker, highly recommend.
