The rubber tip caps for the two pins that clamp the lenses come loose and there are sharp edges under the bare metal on the tips which in this case rest on the lenses. Both were removed 2 months after purchase. The first one, which I noticed was missing before any damage was done, covered the tip with silicone sealant and then applied glue to the other rubber cap, which was still in place but didn't hold in place. I also didn't realize he backed off until it was too late. Now my $700 Varilux glasses have a nasty scratch on the left lens. They used to be well done, but now they aren't. The black coating on the edges of the frames has almost completely peeled off, making them look like junk.
