I bought this to cool the GDDR6x memory of my 3080GB Gaming OS as I had thermal throttling issues at 110C. This material just doesn't have enough thermal conductivity to work for this application, I still had throttling when I replaced the front and rear pads. I bought better quality pads which were more expensive but said to have almost 10x the thermal conductivity. They would be fine for simple applications where you just need some cooling, but not for high intensity applications like the 3080. I'll keep them on the back and use more expensive heatsink/memory standoffs on the front.
