Review on Enhance Your Jobsite Visibility with DEWALT Headlamp: 200 Lumen Power (DWHT81424) by Sam Davenport

I didn't like this lamp for the first 6-7 months. It doesn't have a wide spectrum of light, so I would use a different light (LED). Having used a few other (LED) bulbs I seem to keep coming back to this DeWalt. The point is that this flashlight is solid (but heavy) and well built. I've been using this light for about 2 years on commercial demolition work, mostly at night on the 3rd shift. Although the light spectrum is smaller than other light sources, this light is more direct. Due to the direct light spectrum, there are no large reflections from shiny objects. I've found this to be my favorite light for my helmet. I only get about 6-7 hours of usable light from it, so I bought some rechargeable batteries and charge them every day (I change freshly charged ones, I have 4 batteries). Now that I've gotten used to the type of light from this headlamp, it's harder for me to see with any other headlamp. The beam is straight, bright and clear. Some other lamps are brighter, wider, and cheaper. But I found that their light is not as direct, causes more reflections and refracts more easily. I love this light and would highly recommend it to anyone who gets dirty and bumpy when using a headlamp. I would buy this product again even if a competitor said they would give me 2 freebies. That's how I like this light. I don't need to buy another one as what I bought is a quality product. I might buy another one just to make sure I have an extra one in case DeWalt discontinues this product.
