I'm 5'6, was 176 pounds at the time (I was 5 weeks post partum) so wasn't really sure of my size. I purchased the XLarge. It fit width wise, but was too short for my comfort. The fabric lining inside the dress would slowly creep up as I moved, which was made worse since it's not cut straight along the bottom, but rather with a pointy pattern that mimics the pattern on the dress. So I'd say order a size up to hopefully prevent inside lining from creeping up. Especially is you have ample hips and "behind". The dress itself is gorgeous. It looks like it cost way more than what you pay for it!
