Best I've found yet. I've tried many other well water filters and they seem to remove odors, color and sediment better than anything I've tried. Tried a few cord wrapped cheaper hard styrofoam like ones (several brands) and some 3M Filtrete filters similar to these. , the filters did something weird and left a lot of green mold in the canister and other junk. When I used them after the canister got all dirty and wanted to replace one, the stains in the canister were gone. I also think they last longer than others. I also have a built in filter in my kitchen sink using a Doulton W9220402 ceramic filter with separate drinking water tap. I check my water every February and so on. as long as it was ok from a safety point of view.
