Pro Mechanic Tip: You can't restore original quality dents (you dented the metal, what do you expect?). However, you will be able to turn a heavy dent into a smaller dent. I used a rubber mallet to lightly tap on the compression to help a little. My truck is a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500. It is damaged by rust. I didn't mind making a few more minor dents to turn the big dent into a smaller one. It is up to the user's discretion how much damage they are willing to tolerate to their personal vehicle.
