I love these spikes! I wore them over an oversized denim jacket and they are so cute. The spikes are real metal (I checked with a magnet) and are a pretty decent weight. I covered the shoulders and collar with spikes on my jacket. The way I attached them was to poke a small hole in the jeans with scissors, then put a screw in and put the tip on the tip. I only finger tightened my spikes and they seem to be holding up pretty tight. I don't think you should use the same method with leather. I don't know how the skin will react with all these tiny holes. This is a quality product and if I ever make a cool grunge jacket again I will be very happy to order it.
