Review on Sony SEL28F20 FE 28mm πŸ“· f/2-22 Standard-Prime Lens: Perfect for Mirrorless Cameras by Brittany Collins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Useful mid-price lens for holiday travel

I bought a Sony a7iii and it had a 28-70 kit- Lens, great combination but I was missing a low light lens. This lens is suitable for capturing sunrise or sunset shots, as well as wide-angle shots without much distortion. Then the 28mm 2-22f made shooting much easier in dark rooms. I adjust the aperture so that old paintings and statues are photographed in very low light. This lens is sharp and fast. Just a piece of advice. Using this lens in low light conditions will teach you how to shoot in manual mode. Setting the little green box to "All Automatic" won't give you the results you want. It will take a little practice and practice to use this lens effectively.

Pros
  • Compact and lightweight design goes well with A7 series cameras Linear motor focus mechanism for smooth, quiet autofocus Compatible with ultra wide angle and fisheye lenses
Cons
  • Annoying
