Love the look and functionality of this stool. The all black is smooth and goes well with my highlighted guitar corner. In terms of comfort, it definitely lacks thick padding, but that doesn't bother me just yet. I suppose it could be "more comfortable", but it's better than sitting on the floor or a standard kitchen chair. I saw many reviews complaining about the build. It took me 20-30 minutes to get ready. It actually took me a hand to secure the bottom ring - I had to pull my legs up to the ring while my wife fastened the clasp on the last screw as there was a small gap. No big deal - just a note.
